ABOUT THE PROJECT

The EFFUSE-win project (HUSKROUA/23/RS/1.2/027) aims to raise environmental awareness and strengthen the scientific and digital skills of students and teachers. The project emphasizes practical learning through observation, field research, experiments, and collaboration with experts. The main theme is nature conservation in the Latorica River area, which spans the borders of Slovakia and Ukraine — two of the project’s participating countries.

Main objectives of the project

  • Bring nature closer to people by creating experiential programs that allow participants to work directly in nature, discover biodiversity, and solve real environmental problems.
  • Create a community of future scientists by establishing a network of cooperating universities, schools, and civic associations in border regions to support young people interested in science and environmental protection.
  • Develop environmental and digital skills by using modern technologies, building databases, and applying language cooperation in teaching and research.

Project Financing

The project is co-financed by the cross-border cooperation program next.huskroua-cbc.eu through a grant agreement. The total project’s budget is €672,206.58.
