EduScrum in science at UPJŠ

Primary school pupils tried their hand at team scientific work, critical thinking, and presenting their own environmental projects at the university.

On January 19, 2026, students from Rozhanovce Elementary School and Aves Bardejov Private Elementary School experienced an exceptional day at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University, where they became scientists for a moment as part of the EFFUSE-win project. Through EduScrum – a playful team methodology that combines project thinking, cooperation, and responsibility – they learned how scientific work works in practice.

The children met with herpetologists, got a glimpse into the world of research, and some of them even presented their own environmental projects. They showed that young people can think critically, ask good questions, and seek solutions for the world around them. The atmosphere was full of curiosity, courage, and enthusiasm for discovery. This is exactly what meaningful learning looks like.
