Exotic Animals in Science and Education

An experiential encounter for students with live exotic animals, tailored to the inclusive needs of the school.

On October 23, 2025, we visited Júlia Bilčíková Primary School in Budkovce, where we conducted a series of experiential presentations with exotic animals. The school also includes special education classes, so the program was carefully adapted to the needs of pupils who require an individual approach and personalized attention.

The presentations were held in six groups, during which students were introduced to various species of invertebrates and vertebrates, with a special focus on reptiles. The children learned interesting facts about each species and had the opportunity to observe live animals up close, learning about their behavior, diet, and the importance of nature conservation.

The greatest success, as usual, was achieved by our Agama named Jožko, who quickly became the star of the day. He captured the attention and affection of the pupils, finding many new “little Jožko friends” among them.

The event took place in a friendly and inspiring atmosphere and contributed to expanding the pupils’ knowledge of biology, strengthening their connection to nature, and supporting experiential learning within the school’s inclusive environment.
